Laura Mejia, LMSW

Hi, I’m Laura, a Licensed Master Social Worker serving clients in Texas. I became a social worker to help children, families, and adults improve communication, process their pasts, and accept who they are. I obtained my master’s degree from Texas Christian University, where I developed a special passion for helping those with prenatal and postpartum concerns. As a proud Hispanic-American, I am also especially dedicated to helping clients of a similar cultural background make life-changing breakthroughs. I provide services in both English and Spanish.

My favorite part of my work is being able to provide the safe support that my clients need in order to authentically express themselves. I encourage my clients to be curious and I am proud to stand by them as they bravely face fears from the past and embrace the potential of their futures.

As my client, you can expect me to highlight your strengths and help you use those strengths to solve your problems. We’ll work together to help you restructure your thoughts, address your feelings, and make impactful behavioral changes. I want to help you reduce your anxiety and depression and increase your overall happiness.

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy playing with my three dogs and going to the movies (for the popcorn, of course!)
