Master Social Worker Intern

Clients Served: Adults (17+)

Specialties: Childhood Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, Women's Issues

Hi, I’m Jasmine, a Student Intern currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. I currently serve clients in Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. I chose to become a therapist to make a difference in the lives of others. I started pursuing this goal at Louisiana Tech University, where I obtained my bachelor’s, and I am now in the hands-on practice portion of obtaining my master’s degree.

When we work together, you can expect me to encourage you to explore the unknown parts of yourself. This will help you gain deeper self-awareness, increased self-confidence, and a boost in self-esteem. We will look for the ways that your thoughts, feelings, and actions work off of one another to keep you in a negative cycle, then we’ll collaborate to problem-solve and change some of the beliefs that aren’t working for you any longer.

I enjoy helping clients realize their full potential and break free from the difficulties they face in their daily lives. I believe my clients are ready to make drastic, positive transformations and I am ready to be their guide and resource on that journey.

Some of my therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also encourage my clients to incorporate mindfulness into their everyday lives. If you’re unsure or unaware of mindfulness, I’ll be happy to teach you all about its benefits and how to apply it to your life.

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy watching movies, reading, traveling, and taking long walks.
