Greetings I'm Keiera a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in the state of Texas. I received my Bachelors and Masters degree of Social Work from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My experience includes working with children and families, individuals experiencing grief, facing crisis, those who’ve experienced trauma, work-life balance, and self-esteem issues.
The decision to seek therapy is brave and courageous! It's okay not to be okay, that's where I come in. As my client you can expect me to be open-minded, encouraging and transparent in any dialogue and supportive throughout your healing journey. We will create a healthy environment where you work toward unapologetically living out loud in your purpose. I will be your teammate and goal setting partner. My purpose is to collaborate with you to find solutions to the current life stressors you're facing utilizing a strength's based approach. My theraputic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Person-centered Therapy.
The journey of life is so unique and filled with many plot twists. My journey to become a Social Worker and later a therapist began when I experienced my own personal health issues at an early age. There were individuals along the way that spoke life into me during times of difficulty, I knew then my purpose in life was to give hope to the hopeless, advocate for those that may be voiceless and strive to provide peace and compassion to the most vulnerable populations. What I enjoy most about being a therapist is creating a safe space/judgement free zone for clients to be their authentic selves as they discover true freedom, self-love and healthy coping mechanisms.
During my free time I enjoy traveling , crafting and spending time with my family, friends & dog Milo.
