Hi, I’m Alicia! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker serving clients in Texas. Since the inception of my career in 2011 I have always worked with vulnerable populations. I began my social work career at Child Protective Services and then transitioned to victim advocacy at a non-profit domestic violence agency. As I began my Master's program at the University of Texas at Arlington, I also completed the police academy. Upon completing my Masters and graduating the academy, I have worked in both mental health and law enforcement. I realized over time, that due to my skillset and both personal and professional experiences, I have a unique opportunity to help people heal through therapy, and I love that.
My favorite part about treating clients is hearing and physically seeing my clients express and experience relief from things that once consumed them in a negative way. I love helping clients reach those "lightbulb moments" and finding peace and healing.
As my client, you can expect to reconnect your mind and your body to become “unstuck” from trauma and begin to heal wounds that many don’t see. My job is to help you realize your capabilities to overcome anything, after all you are a SURVIVOR!
My therapeutic modalities include Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and somatic-based interventions such as tapping.
When I am not being a therapist, I enjoy being a mom to a very active 5-year-old and a wife.
